The donors that give to LetsTalkPPCM are generous, caring, and in most cases, making a sacrifice to help people in situations they understand from experience.
For this reason above all, we want to make certain that our donors' limited but extremely generous donations get to the survivors who really need our help the most.
PPCM is one of the leading causes of maternal mortality in the U.S.
That provides new hope through lifesaving discoveries. Funding breakthroughs that give more time to everyone in their battle with Peripartum Cardiomyopathy.
That ensures all have access to quality screening, diagnosis, and treatment for PPCM. Offering patient support, treatment assistance, even childcare, and transportation services.
To support everyone, no matter where they are in their pregnancy-induced heart failure journey. Providing a safe place to share, grieve, support, and find strength forward.
PPCM may not be as rare as we think—but it doesn't have to be a death sentence.
Get the assistance you need to cover your brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) blood test that measures levels of the protein made by your heart and blood vessels. Nt-proBNP levels are higher than normal when you have PPCM.
LetsTalkPPCM loves partnering with other organizations, and businesses who are willing to sponsor, and those who can donate diapers, diaper bags, baby wipes, strollers, car seats, children's books, gift cards, baby and kids size clothing, or shoes, and safe cleaning supplies to assist a newly diagnosed PPCM heart momma.
We are committed to bringing earlier detection to PPCM in new mothers.
Imagine the impact we can make towards diagnosing PPCM before it becomes life-threatening when we come together as ONE to fund research, increase access to healthcare, support our community, and commit to action.
We join together, connect, cry with, and cheer on our PPCM survivor community during the LetsTalkPPCM campaign for an awe-inspiring, deeply moving week of actions that raise critical funds for our loved ones affected by peripartum cardiomyopathy and in memory of those we have lost.
1 in 1300 women will be diagnosed with PPCM in her lifetime. When people donate, they’re joining one community, united and committed to increasing awareness for PPCM. Discover the nationwide impact of this community, and witness the difference we can make together when we raise one more dollar, take one more step, and share one more story.
