On May 08, 2014, Crystal Brackens-Prieston (eldest sister of Founder) passed away six months from heart complications after giving birth to her second born. Three years later, we learned that she died from Peripartum Cardiomyopathy. We truly believe that her death was preventable. Her passion for increasing awareness of organ donation, and heart disease in the health community inspired us to lift voices for a blessed future for all mothers, one in which women are not dismissed, or misdiagnosed, but are heard, respected and cared for as equal individuals. The last words of Crystal were "this condition was not for me, but for someone else." Now over 100,000 are being saved.
