LetsTalkPPCM is proud to collaborate with MoMMAs Voices, a program of the Preeclampsia Foundation, to help empower mothers, families, and healthcare providers to improve maternal health outcomes through meaningful patient engagement.
Together, we are encouraging PPCM survivors, families, and advocates to strengthen their voices and become leaders in maternal health quality improvement.
True and successful patient and family partner engagement goes beyond simply sharing your story. Effective advocacy requires preparation, knowledge, and the tools needed to participate in healthcare improvement at local, state, and national levels.
The MoMMAs Voices training programs are designed to help both patients and healthcare providers develop the skills necessary to collaborate and improve maternal health systems.
Through these programs, participants gain the knowledge and confidence to participate in committees, advisory boards, research collaborations, and maternal health initiatives.
The Patient Family Partner (PFP) Training Program is a self-paced online certification designed for individuals with lived experience in maternal health.
This program prepares mothers and families to become strong advocates who can actively participate in maternal health quality improvement efforts.
Participants will gain:
✔ Advocacy and leadership skills
✔ Tools for sharing lived experiences effectively
✔ Strategies for partnering with healthcare systems
✔ Opportunities to participate in maternal health initiatives
Upon completion, graduates may be matched with opportunities to share their lived experience and participate in maternal health improvement efforts.
If you want to use your voice to make an impact in maternal health but are concerned about the cost of the training, scholarship opportunities may be available.
Program Cost:
Patient Family Partner Certification – $450
Note: If you were referred through one of the MoMMAs Voices partner organizations, please contact our team for information on accessing the training.
MoMMAs Voices also offers the Lived Experience Integration® Training for healthcare providers and professionals working in maternal health quality improvement.
These courses are taught by lived experience experts from the MoMMAs Voices community and are designed to help healthcare teams successfully partner with patients and families.
✔ Build successful partnerships with patient advocates
✔ Understand the importance of lived experience in care improvement
✔ Overcome common barriers to patient engagement
✔ Improve maternal health systems and outcomes
LetsTalkPPCM believes that survivor voices are powerful tools for change. PPCM survivors and families have unique experiences that can help shape policies, education, and healthcare systems to better protect mothers.
Through this partnership, survivors have an opportunity to become trained advocates helping improve maternal heart health awareness and maternal care practices nationwide.
If you are a PPCM survivor, family member, or advocate interested in becoming a trained maternal health advocate, this program can help you gain the skills needed to make a meaningful impact. Email info.letstalkppcm.org for questions.
